3 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Booking fulfillment: Confirming your reservation, dispatching your driver, navigating to pickup and drop-off locations, and completing the ride.
  • Payment processing: Charging your card for the agreed fare and issuing refunds when applicable.

  • Legal & safety: Maintaining records in connection with disputes, chargebacks, or safety incidents, and complying with applicable law.
We do not sell your data. Pick Me Up and Go does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes — ever.

Marketing

We may occasionally send service-related messages (e.g., a follow-up after your first ride, or a reminder about an upcoming booking). We do not send unsolicited promotional marketing without your consent. You can opt out of any marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to any text or clicking the unsubscribe link in any email.

4 SMS / Text Messaging

By providing your phone number and booking a ride, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from Pick Me Up and Go related to your booking. These messages may include:

  • Booking confirmation and reference number
  • Driver on-the-way notifications
  • Arrival and pickup status updates
  • Changes or cancellations to your booking
  • Follow-up messages related to your trip

Message Frequency & Costs

Message frequency varies based on booking activity, typically 2–5 messages per booking. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.

Opting Out

To stop receiving SMS messages, reply STOP to any message at any time. We will send one final confirmation text and remove you from future messages. Note that opting out of marketing messages does not prevent us from sending critical transactional messages (e.g., your driver has arrived) needed to complete a booking you have already placed.

For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at (603) 819-5385.

No third-party marketing via SMS. Your phone number is never shared with third parties for the purpose of sending you marketing messages.

No Advertising Networks

We do not share your personal information with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics companies that would use your data to serve you ads on other websites.

Legal Disclosures

We may disclose your information to law enforcement, courts, or other authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our drivers, passengers, or the public. We will notify you of such disclosures where legally permitted to do so.

6 Cookies & Website Tracking

Our website uses a limited set of cookies and similar technologies to make the site function and understand how it's being used.

Essential Cookies

These are required for the website to operate correctly — for example, maintaining your session state as you move through the booking form. You cannot opt out of these without impairing site functionality.

Analytics

We may use basic server-side analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (e.g., how many people visit the booking page, which pages are most popular). This data is not linked to individual identities.

No Ad Tracking

We do not use advertising pixels (Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, etc.) or cross-site tracking technologies on our website.

How to Control Cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Instructions for common browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari.

7 Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

  • Booking records (name, contact info, trip details, payment records) are retained for 90 days to support dispute resolution and accounting requirements.
  • SMS and email communications are retained for 90 days.
  • Technical/log data (IP addresses, access logs) is retained for 90 days.
  • Cancelled or no-show bookings are retained for 90 days.

After the applicable retention period, your data is securely deleted or anonymized. You may request earlier deletion — see Section 9 for your rights.

8 Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our website
  • Using Stripe to handle payment data — we never store or transmit raw card numbers ourselves
  • Restricting access to booking data to personnel who need it to fulfill rides
  • Password-protected, access-controlled hosting infrastructure

No method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. If we become aware of a breach that may affect your personal data, we will notify affected individuals as required by New Hampshire law (RSA 359-C:20) and applicable federal requirements.

9 Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. We honor the following requests from all customers:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to any legal obligations to retain it (e.g., tax records).
  • Opt-out of marketing: Stop receiving promotional communications at any time.
  • Portability: Request your booking data in a commonly used format.

How to Submit a Request

To exercise any of the above rights, contact us by sending us a message or by texting us at (603) 819-5385. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.

10 Children's Privacy

Our services require all riders to be at least 18 years of age, unless accompanied by an adult 18 or older who is present for the entire trip. We do not knowingly collect personal information from or about unaccompanied individuals under 18, and we do not accept bookings intended solely for an unaccompanied minor.

If a booking is placed on behalf of a minor who will be accompanied by an adult, the booking information (name, contact details) is provided by and remains the responsibility of the adult placing the reservation. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from an unaccompanied minor, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

11 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, services, or applicable law. When we make meaningful changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes that affect how we use your data, we may notify you directly via email or SMS.

Your continued use of our service after a policy change is posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page occasionally.
